Vietnamese Interpreter (Sacramento)

This is an independent contractor position offering a flexible work schedule and ongoing opportunities.

• Provide professional interpreting services primarily in healthcare settings.
• Interpret orally between Vietnamese and English in both directions.
• Meet the communication needs of medical professionals, patients, government agencies, community organizations, and internal stakeholders.
• Perform assignments based in the Sacramento Area, scheduled on a regular basis depending on demand for specific languages and interpreter qualifications.
• Obtain required medical clearances, including vaccination/immunization records and background checks, as necessary.

• Fluency in both Vietnamese and English.
• Must be based in Sacramento Area.
• Demonstrated experience providing accurate, complete, and clear interpretation in medical, legal, and community settings, with the highest level of fidelity to the original communication.
• Strong ability to interpret orally between Vietnamese and English in both directions.
• Proven ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds.
• Skilled in meeting the communication needs of medical professionals, patients, government agencies, community organizations, and internal stakeholders.
• Combination of formal interpreter training and/or relevant professional experience.
• Willingness to obtain required medical clearances, including vaccination/immunization records and background checks, as necessary.
• Possession of a valid California license.
