What

You’ll Do

You'll work individually and in teams to support capital projects and implement solutions for our clients. Together, you will help our clients make critical changes to improve their performance and realize their most important goals.

  • Work with project teams, the Corporate Safety Manager, and Directors of Construction
  • Direct, monitor, and assist with a wide range of analytical, technical, process, procedural, and administrative functions related to safety and regulatory compliance
  • Provide subject‑matter expertise
  • Lead and supervising staffing to manage site safety on an active construction projects and client site.
  • Work with project team during pre‑construction to ensure safety planning
  • Investigate, develop, and author reports based on observations from audits, walk throughs, and after observed opportunities, incidents, or accidents; maintain reports for management review
  • Prepare hazards analysis plans in conjunction with execution team prior to start of each project
  • Prepare site specific safety plans in conjunction with the execution team
  • Develop, monitor, lead, and track safety trainings including toolbox talks and JSA and safety stand‑downs to create an effective regional safety program
  • Develop and manage a program to make readily available all safety data sheets and notify affected parties of updates
  • Provide regular updates and reports to construction leaders and the Safety Manager
  • Train site managers on technical and administrative protocols for reporting including PFAS, scaffolding, LOTO, near misses, accidents, injuries, and incidents
  • Interface with senior management and Client EHS Managers, and contribute to the interface with other Design Group offices regarding safety issues
  • Review subcontractor safety plans
  • Monitor the inventory, usage, maintenance, and availability of personal protective equipment for regional construction professionals
  • Review Design Group design details for compliance with safety standards during all phases of construction
  • Serve as site safety representative for assigned projects
  • Function as liaison between Design Group and client when evaluating safety protocols
  • Make an impact day‑to‑day with your skills and expertise, strengthening that relationship with our clients and team
  • This role is a site‑based safety role, no remote or hybrid!
What You’ll Bring
  • A minimum of five years of experience performing onsite inspections or in a role where safety inspection was a responsibility
  • Two years of experience in a safety related leadership role
  • Prior experience in a project safety role involving manufacturing facilities.
  • Construction experience
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and Project
  • A wiliness to relocate to the listed job‑posting location
  • A willingness to travel for project requirements including facility construction, equipment installation and start‑up activities, site support, client meetings, company sponsored meetings, trainings, industry related seminars, forums, and conventions
  • The ability to provide manager‑level leadership and guidance
  • OSHA 30‑hour (Construction) training certification
  • BCSP Certification (CSP, ASP, CHST, GSP, OHST) or other certification such as CSD (Certified Safety Director) or CIH (Certified Industrial Hygienist) (preferred)
