Job Description & Duties

Under the general direction of a Section Chief of the Multifamily Finance Super NOFA (MFSN) Unit of the Division of State Financial Assistance (DSFA), the Supervisor I oversees and directs staff and administers the activities of DSFA’s state funded multifamily housing programs. The incumbent performs the Essential Functions as directed by the Section Chief.

Note:

Effective January 1, 2026, the Staff Services Manager I classification will be re-titled to Supervisor I as part of California Department of Human Resources (CalHR) generalist consolidation. For more information on the generalist consolidation, please visit:
CalHR - Generalist Class Consolidation. Any candidate hired on or after this date will be appointed under the newly re-titled classification. The Supervisor I exam will be available to take effective January 1, 2026.

Note:

Effective July 1, 2025, a 3% salary reduction is in place under the Personal Leave Program (PLP), with 5 hours of Personal Leave Credit earned monthly in exchange. This program is subject to change based on union agreements and state budget policy. This position is located in Sacramento.
