Clinic Operations at Milo & Mew is responsible for orchestrating the day-to-day system that makes excellent care possible—patient flow, staffing, client experience, quality, safety, and clinic performance. We partner closely with medical leadership and cross-functional teams to build clinics that run with clarity, consistency, and heart. Our work is central to Milo & Mew's ability to deliver veterinary care that's humane, reliable, and scalable—without burning out the people doing it.
Aboutthe Role
As Clinic Manager, you will act as the operational and cultural anchor for your clinic—enabling coordinated, high-quality execution across the team while elevating the experience for pets, pet parents, and staff. You'll unify people leadership, clinic operations, and financial stewardship into a clinic that's both high-performing and deeply human. Evening and weekend availability is required to support clinic hours and patient needs.
Inthis role, you will:
- Translate clinic goals into clear priorities and ensure execution across the floor team
- Build and run clinic operating rhythms: staffing models, scheduling systems, handoffs, huddles, and escalation paths
- Lead and develop a diverse team—coaching performance, building capabilities, and strengthening retention
- Partner with medical leadership to uphold clinical quality, safety, and an excellent patient experience
- Own the schedule and throughput: balancing flow, productivity, and sustainability for the team
- Manage performance with clarity and empathy—setting expectations, delivering feedback, and creating growth paths
- Drive operational excellence and financial health as foundations for sustainable, high-quality care
- Represent the clinic in broader company conversations—surfacing insights, advocating for resources, and improving how we operate
- Step in where needed: on the floor, in client conversations, or in cross-functional planning—especially during high-emotion moments
- Are an exceptional people leader and cross-functional operator with strong on-the-ground presence
- Excel at creating systems that bring clarity to complex, fast-moving environments
- Bring experience leading teams in high-care, high-urgency settings (veterinary preferred, not required)
- Can balance empathy with accountability—supporting people while holding a high bar
- Are energized by building: iterating on processes, learning from feedback, and improving the clinic week over week
- 5+ years of people leadership experience (veterinary experience a plus)
- Demonstrated ability to lead teams through change, ambiguity, and emotionally charged situations
- Strong operational instincts: scheduling, workflows, service recovery, and performance management
- Health, dental, and vision coverage (multiple plans)
- Retirement savings support (e.g., employer contributions or matching, where available)
- Paid vacation and sick time
- Paid parental leave
- Pet-care benefits and discounts on services
- Access to mental health and well-being support
- A team that supports and celebrates each other
Milo & Mew is building veterinary clinics that feel better to walk into—and better to work in. We're rethinking the care experience end-to-end: clearer communication, calmer spaces, and systems that support clinicians and staff so they can focus on what matters—great medicine and genuine connection.
We believe the best care is delivered by teams who feel supported, respected, and set up to succeed. To achieve that, we value different perspectives, lived experiences, and ways of working—and we build with that diversity at the center.
