Job Description
The Inventory Control Specialist ensures accurate execution of transactions within our ERP system, supporting daily manufacturing, operations, shipping & receiving activities. The Inventory Control Specialists works closely with local plant leadership to provide production scheduling, processing of manufacturing orders, receiving inbound materials, maintaining accurate inventory & processing outbound delivery documents using our ERP system. Key Accountabilities/Responsibilities
- Communication liaison between the Planner/Buyer team and plant managers.
- Coordinates with plant leadership and Planner/Buyer to maintain items on production schedules and ensure accurate information.
- Maintains accurate inventory through completion of daily transactions and regular cycle counting.
- Creation of Manufacturing Orders and issuance of appropriate lab and safety documentation.
- ERP batch transactions.
- Process daily manufacturing, shipping/receiving, POD, and delivery transactions and documentation.
- Inventory analysis: resolve variances and perform root cause analysis on recurring issues.
- Ensure proper corrections are instituted following acceptance of the root cause analysis.
- Recommend and implement process improvements.
Desired Qualifications
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Ability to troubleshoot and solve problems in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- High School Diploma (GED)
- Basic Lean Six Sigma training.
- Prior ERP experience.
- 5+ years of experience in planning, manufacturing, or warehousing.
