Job Summary
The CN identifies and implements nursing interventions and evaluates results for a wide variety of patient populations, directs and acts as a resource to other members of the nursing team, and promotes compliance and support for policies. The primary responsibilities consist of providing total, comprehensive, continuous, patient‑centered care, which includes assessment, documentation, planning, implementation, teaching, development, and evaluation of a comprehensive nursing plan of care;
delivering direct patient care; ensuring patient satisfaction; training and delegating duties; and adhering to University policies and procedures as well as federal, state, and local regulations.

- Valid California Registered Nurse License without restriction.
- AHA or American Red Cross Basic Life Support (BLS), or UC Davis Health CPR.
- Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
- Minimum of three (3) years of recent RN experience.
- Recent RN experience in an ambulatory allergy clinic, including telephone triage for adult patients.
- Experience and advanced understanding of allergy management, anaphylaxis recognition and emergency treatment, post‑anaphylaxis interventions, asthma, allergic rhinitis, eczema, food allergies, and other common allergic conditions.
- Knowledge of allergy immunotherapy procedures, risks, and benefits.
- Experience providing patient education and ongoing care coordination for patients with allergic conditions.
- Experience managing indwelling lines such as PICC lines, urinary catheters, accessing ports, and central line care.
- Experience caring for patients receiving medical management of allergic conditions, including allergy shots, food and medication challenges, immunotherapy, spirometry, and asthma management.
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
- Effective interpersonal skills and professional conduct.
- Commitment to excellence in patient care.
- Basic computer skills.
- Knowledge of current trends in nursing, performance improvement, and evidence‑based practice.
- Ambulatory Care Nursing Certification (AMB‑BC).
- AHA Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS).
- AHA Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS).
- BSN degree.
- Experience with Epic or other electronic health records.
