Veterinary Assistant
Foothill Farms Veterinary Hospital is growing and has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Veterinary Assistant to join our team! Our nursing team plays a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and in delivering thorough client education.
ResponsibilitiesIn this role, you'll rotate between seeing technician appointments independently and working alongside our doctors during exams and procedures. You'll assist with exams and treatments, support anesthetic monitoring, and coordinate with your team to manage the veterinarian's orders. This position is ideal for someone with strong foundational nursing skills who excels in client engagement, multitasking, and collaborative care.
ScheduleFull‑time position with five 8‑hour shifts scheduled Tuesday–Saturday.
Benefits and Compensation- Compensation: $19–$24 per hour, for each hour worked
- Bonus package: $500 for those with 3+ years of consecutive, current VA experience

- 3+ years of veterinary experience in a clinical setting
- Proficiency in the following skills:
- Venipuncture and administering injections
- Surgical set up and assistance
- Assisting with radiographs
- Inpatient nursing including collecting vital signs, keeping medical records and administering treatments as prescribed
- Familiarity with Cornerstone software and Fear Free patient handling is a plus!
