ICF is currently seeking an On-Call Seasonal Associate to be based out of our Sacramento, CA office.

Given the seasonal or project-specific nature of our environmental work, ICF often hires environmental professionals as “On-Call” employees. On-Call employees are scheduled for work hours as they become available, and each on‑call employee is free to accept or refuse the hours assigned to them in a given week. On-Call employees may work concurrent projects outside of their ICF assignment (along as their outside work does not create a conflict of interest with the work they do for ICF).

This position involves conducting rainfall measurement of pooled water features at a project site in the Northern California region. The field associate will frequently work independently in the field, prepare monitoring logs, and coordinate with ICF biologists on the findings immediately following the survey.

• Independently and collaboratively perform field surveys for pond inundation levels after rain events. These surveys may include walking to the ponds, measuring the inundation level, and record and submit findings to the ICF biologist. This work can occur anytime during the week and will require weekend shifts.
• Accompanying the ICF field biologist as a field assistant as requested.
• Prepare field notes summarizing survey results.

• Must have valid driver’s license and successfully pass a Motor Vehicle Records (MVR) check.
• High School Diploma

• Strong communication skills and the ability to be responsive to request to do the monitoring immediately following rain events.
• Experience with data entry and formatting.
• Proficiency in use of Microsoft Word and Excel
