Overview

We are seeking a seasoned Senior Market Researcher to deliver deep insights into our brand’s positioning, identify growth opportunities, and understand evolving audience needs. Your insights will guide strategic decisions across marketing, product, and brand initiatives.

Responsibilities
  • Design and execute brand health tracking studies to monitor performance over time.
  • Conduct audience research to identify target demographics, preferences, behaviors, and emerging trends.
  • Analyze competitive landscapes, identifying strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats.
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to translate insights into actionable brand‑growth strategies.
  • Develop and maintain research methodologies, including surveys, focus groups, interviews, and data‑analysis techniques.
  • Present findings and recommendations to senior management and stakeholders in a clear, compelling manner.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends and advancements in market‑research tools and methodologies.
Research Methodologies
  • Quantitative Methods: Solid background in conducting quantitative research including surveys (e.g., Conjoint, Max Diff), structured interviews, and usage data analysis, with expertise in hypothesis development, sampling, and advanced statistical techniques.
  • Qualitative Methods: Experienced with focus groups, in‑depth interviews, ethnographic studies, and content analysis to convert open‑ended data into actionable insights.
  • Secondary Research: Skilled at literature reviews, industry report analysis, and competitor benchmarking using databases such as Statista and IBISWorld.
  • SEO & Social Listening: Familiarity with SEO tools (e.g., SEMrush, Ahrefs) and social listening platforms (e.g., Brandwatch, Mention).
Strategic & Analytical Skills
  • Competitive Analysis:
    Conduct comprehensive SWOT, market positioning maps, and competitive benchmarking.
  • Trend Forecasting:
    Identify and interpret emerging trends using analytical tools.
  • Customer Segmentation & Personas:
    Develop detailed customer personas based on demographic, psychographic, and behavioral criteria.
  • Insight Generation:
    Synthesize data into clear, actionable insights that inform brand strategy.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Statistics, or related field (Master’s preferred).
  • 7+ years of experience in market research, brand analysis, or a similar role, preferably in the tech industry.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and generate insightful conclusions.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Proactive, detail‑oriented, and capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously.
Compensation

Base pay is one part of a total compensation package determined by role level and geographic location. U.S. salary ranges: $122,500–$191,000 in California; $101,000–$181,000 outside California. Canada: $128,000 CAD–$169,500 CAD. Eligible for equity and a comprehensive benefits package.
