Company Description Carnal Flora is a botanical design brand that creates apparel and accessories inspired by nature conservation. The company began by partnering with conservation organizations to develop merchandise that helps share their mission with visitors and supporters. Today, Carnal Flora designs and produces its own collection of botanical-print camp shirts and enamel pins, maintaining a strong conservation focus in every product.

Its pieces are sold wholesale through botanical gardens and conservation gift shops, at a flagship storefront in Old Sacramento’s Paperworks, online, and at events throughout the year. Carnal Flora also collaborates with gardens, conservancies, and mission-driven organizations on custom and co-branded product lines that connect people with the living world.

Role Description This is a part-time, on-site Fashion Stylist role based in Sacramento, CA. The Fashion Stylist will assist customers in the storefront with selecting, coordinating, and styling Carnal Flora apparel and accessories, ensuring a personalized and engaging shopping experience. Daily responsibilities include greeting visitors, understanding their preferences, recommending outfits and botanical prints, and maintaining visual standards for displays and mannequins.

The role also involves supporting sales activities, managing fitting room flow, handling basic merchandising tasks, and sharing the brand’s conservation-driven story with customers. The Fashion Stylist will collaborate closely with the retail team to meet store goals, provide feedback on customer trends, and help create a welcoming, inclusive environment for all visitors.

• Candidates must possess strong Fashion Styling and Wardrobe skills, including the ability to coordinate outfits and advise on fit, color, and personal style.
• Candidates should possess excellent Customer Service and Communication skills to engage visitors, understand their needs, and build ongoing relationships.
• Candidates should possess Sales skills, with comfort in suggesting products, supporting transactions, and meeting retail performance goals.
• Candidates should possess an interest in botanical design, nature conservation, and mission-driven brands, with the ability to convey brand values to customers.
• Candidates should possess reliability in a retail environment, including punctuality, collaboration with team members, and flexibility to work weekends or events.
• Previous experience in fashion retail, styling, or visual merchandising is beneficial, as is familiarity with Shopify
