Job Description Expected Responsibilities

Contractor shall adequately supervise all Security Guards assigned under this Agreement during each Guard’s entire shift. ‘Adequately supervise’ includes ensuring staffing levels are met, Guards arrive on time, appearance and performance are monitored, and applicable patrols are verified. Day‑to‑day supervision is conducted by one of three classifications:
Contractor Site Manager, SGM, or SGS.

Security Guard Supervisor (SGS)
  • Acts as the first line of supervision for SG1 and SG2, liaises with the Client, prepares shift schedules, trains replacement Guards, updates post orders, inspects and ensures compliance with all agreement requirements, reviews Guards’ reports, and disciplines when necessary.
  • May report directly to the SGM or Client representative. In non‑administrative periods, the SGS assumes routine patrol duties. The Client can modify SGS duties as needed. SGS may supervise up to 25 Guards, not less than 2, based on Client needs and assignment complexity.
Qualifications
  • Current guard card license as required by State or local law.
  • Must pass a 12‑panel drug test prior to placement.
  • Must pass a criminal history check (fingerprints where permitted).
  • Must undergo employment verification back to age 18.
  • Must undergo motor vehicle record checks.
  • Must be 21 years or older.
  • May be required to perform emergency duties requiring physical exertion (standing, walking, climbing stairs, lifting up to 75 lbs., running).
Education and Experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent; a college degree is highly desirable.
  • Proficient in reading, writing, and speaking English.
  • High integrity and exemplary security skills and judgment.
  • Above‑average computer skills and possession of all required licenses, permits, and certifications for the state or country of assignment.
Work Environment and Schedule
  • Job operates on client sites, both indoors and outdoors.
  • Position requires prolonged standing and walking during daily security activities.
  • Open availability for nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime as directed.
  • Work various shifts and holidays as assigned.
