Food and food service delivery drivers play a critical role in the country’s food supply chain. They ensure products arrive on time, in good condition, and represent the company to build lasting relationships with customers.
Primary Responsibilities- Perform all required safety checks (pre/post trip) and inspections of tractor/truck and trailer.
- Report safety issues, repairs, hazards and ensure loads are secure.
- Count items, verify invoices, and complete accurate paperwork.
- Attach trailer to loading dock and drive to deliver orders according to scheduled routes.
- Unload products, transport to designated areas, and conduct damage control checks.
- Obtain signatures, collect payments, and ship returns as required.
- Secure all equipment and return trailers in a clean state; complete end‑of‑shift paperwork.
- Maintain hours of service records per Federal, state, and company requirements.
- Perform general housekeeping duties in tractor, loading dock area, and keep trailers clear.
- Perform any other related duties as assigned.
- High School Diploma/GED or equivalent experience
- Valid CDL‑A; must be 21+ years of age
- 6+ months CMV experience
- Meet all state licensing and certification requirements
- Clean Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) for past 3 years
- Pass post‑offer drug test and criminal background check
- Pass road test
- Have current DOT Health Card or be able to obtain one
- Ability to hand‑lift and operate a two‑wheeler, lift gate, or other equipment for freight ranging from 10–35 lbs up to 60–90 lbs
