Care Support Worker

Contract:

Permanent, Full Time

Hours:

37.5 per week – Monday to Sunday, 5 days out of 7, 24/7 shared rota including waking nights and sleep-ins
Salary: £24,863

Minerva Recruitment is looking for compassionate and dedicated Care Support Workers to join our client’s team in Saffron Walden. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference in people’s lives, supporting them to live independently and happily.

Please note:

Due to limited transport links and some unsociable hours, you must have a driving licence and access to your own vehicle or a guaranteed way to reach the site.

What You’ll Be Doing

Supporting individuals with personal care, health needs, and daily living tasks
Helping people make choices and live life the way they want
Encouraging hobbies, interests, and community involvement
Building strong relationships with families, friends, and professionals
Keeping homes safe, welcoming, and comfortable
Working flexibly across shifts, including evenings, weekends, and overnight
Maintaining accurate records and contributing to care reviews and team meetings
Promoting health, safety, and quality standards

What We’re Looking For

A kind, compassionate, and resilient person with a sense of humour
Someone who communicates clearly and works well in a team
Flexible and willing to work unsociable hours
Respect for diversity and the individual needs of those you support
A clean driving licence and access to your own vehicle
Experience in care or support (paid or voluntary) – desirable but not essential
Care Certificate or NVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care – desirable but not essential
