Summary
We are seeking a dependable and friendly individual to join our team as a part‑time Lunchroom Aide/Playground Monitor at Sherwood Elementary School. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the safety and well‑being of students during lunch and recess periods.
Responsibilities- Supervise students during lunch and recess periods to ensure their safety and well‑being
- Encourage positive behavior and discourage negative behavior
- Respond to student needs and concerns promptly and appropriately
- Monitor the playground and equipment to ensure they are safe and in good condition
- Report any safety concerns or incidents to the appropriate personnel
- Maintain a clean and organized lunchroom and playground area
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience working with children preferred
- Ability to communicate effectively with students, staff, and parents
- Ability to enforce rules and regulations in a fair and consistent manner
- Ability to remain calm and composed in stressful situations
- Physical ability to stand, walk, and move around for extended periods of time
- Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds
- Ability to pass a background check and drug test
Note:
This is a 2‑2.5 hours per day part‑time position. Shifts are typically between 10:30 am–1:30 pm on school days.
