Position Overview:
Covenant Medical Group, a key part of Covenant Health Care, is actively recruiting a full-time Neurosurgeon with neuroendovascular training to join our expanding multidisciplinary neuroscience team in Saginaw, Michigan. This position offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to a comprehensive, patient-centered approach within a leading healthcare system committed to clinical excellence and professional growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide advanced neurosurgical care, with a focus on neuroendovascular procedures, contributing to a high-volume, state-of-the-art neuroscience service.
- Collaborate with a dedicated team of neurosurgeons, neurologists, neuroradiologists, and physiatrists to deliver comprehensive neurological care.
- Perform a wide spectrum of neurosurgical interventions, emphasizing minimally invasive and endovascular techniques.
- Manage emergency and trauma cases in a Level II Trauma Center, including neurotrauma and stroke patients.
- Participate in the development and advancement of the hospital s stroke program, working towards or maintaining designation as a Comprehensive Stroke Center.
- Utilize advanced neuroimaging and diagnostic tools for accurate assessment and intervention.
- Engage in stroke rehabilitation efforts through partnerships with Mary Free Bed Rehabilitation Hospital, including inpatient and neuropsychological services.
- Support medical education, mentorship, and training initiatives within the department, if desired.
- Ensure delivery of patient-centered care within a collaborative, physician-led practice culture focused on innovation and quality outcomes.
- Board Certified in Neurosurgery;
Board Eligible candidates will be considered if they are within the certification timeline. - Proven experience or specialized training in neuroendovascular procedures is highly preferred.
- Ability to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Licensure to practice in Michigan or ability to obtain state licensure.
- Visa sponsorship is not available; U.S. citizens and permanently authorized residents preferred.
- Not accepting locum tenens candidates.
