• Serves food to guests with a high level of customer service.
• Understands and practices the concept of teamwork.
• Maintains high standards of safety and cleanliness in all areas.
• Strives to provide guests with a memorable experience and exceeds their expectations by anticipating their needs.
• Assists with collecting all banquet equipment, including flatware, china, glassware, and serving pieces needed for each event.
• Assists with preparation and set-up of event rooms when necessary.
• Prepares tables with place settings as instructed.
• Establishes and maintains positive client relationships.
• Maintains accurate cash handling procedures at all times.
• Ensures health codes are followed.
• Prepares food and beverages for customers.
• Follows all rules and regulations for serving alcohol.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

• Good oral and written communication skills and ability to understand instructions and guest requests.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Basic math skills.
• Ability to adapt to changes in the work environment, manage competing demands, and handle delays or unexpected events.

• Daily lifting up to 20 lbs; constant reaching, stooping, standing and walking. Must be able to balance serving trays and have good manual dexterity.
• Ability to move around the facility and stand for long hours during events; talk and hear.
• Work may be inside or outside the building, including parking lots, with some exposure to adverse conditions.
• Repetitive eye/hand coordination.

All Food & Beverage scheduling is dependent on The Dow Event Center and Huntington Event Park events calendar. Must be able to pass a background check to include a credit history report and meet corporate minimum requirements.
