This dual-role position manages irrigation systems during the growing season and oversees holiday lighting operations in the fall and winter. It requires technical expertise, project management, leadership, and strong client communication.
ResponsibilitiesIrrigation Manager (Spring–Fall)
- Oversee the installation, maintenance, and repair of irrigation systems for residential and commercial properties.
- Develop seasonal irrigation schedules to ensure optimal plant health and water efficiency.
- Troubleshoot system issues (e.g., valves, controllers, wiring, heads) and coordinate timely repairs.
- Monitor inventory of irrigation parts and order supplies as needed.
- Supervise and train irrigation technicians; enforce safety and quality standards.
- Conduct site audits to ensure systems are functioning efficiently.
- Coordinate with landscape and maintenance crews to avoid service conflicts.
- Provide estimates and proposals for new systems or upgrades.
Holiday Lighting Manager (Fall–Winter)
- Plan, schedule, and manage all holiday lighting installations and removals.
- Order, inventory, and maintain lighting products and supplies.
- Lead seasonal lighting crews, ensuring work is completed safely, on time, and to customer specifications.
- Train new team members on installation best practices, safety, and customer service.
- Communicate with clients to confirm designs, timelines, and expectations.
- Handle service calls and repairs during the display season.
- Coordinate storage and organization of lighting materials during off-season.
Required
- Minimum of 2 years of managerial experience
- Strong team leadership and project management skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and adjust priorities seasonally
- Excellent communication and client service skills
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends during peak seasons
Preferred
- Certified Irrigation Technician (CIT) or Certified Landscape Irrigation Auditor (CLIA)
- OSHA 10/30 Certification
- Electrical or low-voltage lighting experience
