Job Details:

• Work under supervision of Med-Surg Nurse Manager

• Provide nursing care for general medical/surgical patients including oncology, observation, hospice, and medical-surgical patients

• Complete nursing assessments and document appropriately in patient charts

• Develop, implement, and evaluate patient care plans using the nursing process

• Oversee delegation of patient care specifics to unit staff

• Accept responsibility for directing co-workers in patient care implementation

• Work every other weekend and holiday schedule

• No on-call responsibilities

• 2+ years of Med-Surg experience required

• Med/Surg observation experience required

• Recent travel work experience highly preferred

• Active American Heart Association BLS certification required

• Active Michigan nursing license required with LARA and/or Nursys verification

• Skills checklist current within one year required

• Two supervisory reference forms completed within last two years required

• Maximum 3 days of requested time off will be accepted

• All scheduling requests must be made at time of submission
