Summary

White Pine Middle School is seeking a dedicated and vigilant individual to join our team as a Campus Security Officer. This full‑time position is essential in ensuring the safety and security of students, staff, and visitors on campus. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, a proactive attitude, and a commitment to maintaining a positive and secure educational environment.

Responsibilities
  • Monitor and patrol school grounds, buildings, and parking areas to ensure safety and security.
  • Respond to emergencies, incidents, and alarms, providing immediate assistance as needed.
  • Conduct regular inspections of facilities to identify and address potential security risks.
  • Collaborate with school administration and staff to develop and implement safety protocols.
  • Assist in the enforcement of school policies and regulations, ensuring a safe and respectful environment for all.
  • Provide support during school events and activities, ensuring security measures are in place.
  • Maintain accurate records of incidents, daily activities, and security reports.
  • Engage with students, staff, and parents to foster a sense of community and promote safety awareness.
  • Participate in training and professional development opportunities to stay current with best practices in school security.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or training in security or law enforcement is a plus.
  • Previous experience in security, law enforcement, or a related field preferred.
  • Strong observational skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with diverse populations.
  • Basic knowledge of emergency response procedures and first aid/CPR certification preferred.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as required.
  • Must pass a background check and drug screening prior to employment.
  • Physical ability to perform duties, including walking, standing, and responding to emergencies.
Work Schedule

This is a school‑year position (approximately 185 workdays).

Shift: Monday thru Friday when school is in session, approximately 8:30am - 4:30pm.

Start Date:

School Year (August 2025).
