Diesel Mechanic – Reese, MI

• Mechanically inclined individuals with a strong interest in diesel technology
• Experience with diesel engines and heavy‑duty truck systems preferred but not required
• Technical training or certification in diesel technology; ASE or State of Michigan certification is a plus
• Strong problem‑solving skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Willingness to learn and grow—through in‑house training, online courses, and mentor‑style support
• Our mentors are experienced technicians who’ve advanced through our performance‑based structure and offer real‑world guidance

• Diagnose and repair a fleet of Class 8 semi‑trucks and trailers, including Freightliner, Western Star, and some International models. Our powertrains include Detroit 60 Series, DD15, DD16, and Cummins X15.
• Work with DT12 and Eaton automatic transmissions, as well as manual 10-, 13-, and 18‑speed transmissions.
• Perform routine maintenance and DOT inspections.
• Use diagnostic tools and software such as Diagnostic Link, Cummins Insite, Wabco, Bendix, Navistar, and Edith.
• Maintain accurate service records and communicate effectively with team members.

• 6 months to 1 year of verifiable diesel mechanic experience
• Ability to work a flexible schedule.
• Ability and knowledge to diagnose diesel engines, transmissions, and differential projects
• Strong communication skills – team oriented
• Valid driver’s license

• Have a CDL or are willing to obtain one
• Hold ASE certificates in HD trucks.
• Hold a State of Michigan heavy‑duty mechanic license
• Are familiar with fleet maintenance software
• Take pride in keeping trucks safe, reliable, and road‑ready in a timely manner

• Ability to lift a minimum of 35 pounds
• Ability to bend, stretch, kneel, and squat to perform repairs and inspection
• Enough vision to inspect repair work
• Ability to use/operate hand tools, power tools, and other heavy machinery
• Ability to pass a drug and alcohol screen
