Installation Technician, Electrician/ Electrician Installation
R.W. Mercer Electrical Contracting is looking for experienced and trained Journeyman Electricians that can work on their own under the general guidance of a Master Electrician. They are responsible for the installation, repair, and maintenance of commercial electrical systems.

REQUIREMENTS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Knowledge of local electrical codes
- Knowledge of electrical circuits
- Ability to read and understand prints, schematics, and written reference material
- Ability to focus on a job and complete the same in a timely manner
- Ability to diagnose and resolve problems
- Ability to guide and train Apprentice Electricians
- Self-motivation
- Takes control and oversees projects
- Review projects with sales team/project managers
- Ability to have flexible working hours
- Respond to emergency calls as needed
- Acquire proper materials to complete project
- Maintain a clean, well-serviced and well-stocked vehicle
- Attend a code review class every 3 years
- Fill out work orders with time and material rates for billing purposes
- Ensure that proper safety and incident reporting procedures are followed. Brings problems to the attention of the foreman, safety coordinator, or Human Resources.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical blueprints
- Experience with petroleum fueling systems a plus
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalency
- State of Michigan Journeyman License
- Valid Driver’s License

operate assigned equipment and vehicles; and to verbally communicate to exchange information. Digging and working in trenches. Working in confined spaces, from heights, and hot/cold weather conditions.
