Position Summary:

The Mathematics and Statistics Department in the College of Natural Sciences is collecting application materials for a pool of lecturers with positions available as determined by need during the 2026-27 academic year. Courses in need of coverage typically include supported classes (college algebra, finite math for business, introduction to statistics), hybrid classes (introduction to statistics, finite math for business), trigonometry, precalculus, and occasionally calculus, linear algebra, differential equations.

Appointments from the lecturer pool are temporary and often made just prior to the start of the academic term.

Minimum Qualifications   MA or MS in Mathematics or a related field.

Preferred Qualifications   PhD or previous teaching experience.
Responsibilities   Teach lower division undergraduate courses, primarily college algebra, finite math for business, introduction to statistics, trigonometry, precalculus, and occasionally calculus, linear algebra, differential equations.
Assignments are based upon qualifications and departmental needs.
