Position Summary The Economics Department in the College of Behavioral and Social Sciences is collecting applications for a pool of lecturers for the 2026-27 academic year. Positions are needed to teach courses such as Introduction to Economics, Principles of Macroeconomic Analysis, Principles of Microeconomic Analysis, Work, Wealth, and Income Distribution (W), and Medical Economics. Appointments are temporary and often made just prior to the start of the academic term.
Salary Lecturer A/2 : $5,507 – $6,677 per month
Lecturer B/3 : $6,221 – $13,224 per month
Lecturer C/4 : $6,825 – $14,523 per month
Lecturer D/5 : $8,593 – $15,211 per month
Priority Review Date 05/01/26 – Applications received after this date may be considered as needs arise.
Minimum Qualifications Master’s degree in Economics or a closely related field.
Preferred Qualifications Minimum of 5 years of teaching experience in the courses of interest.
Responsibilities Teach selected courses based on qualifications and departmental needs.
Develop and deliver course materials, lectures, and assessments.
Engage diverse student groups and address teaching strategies to promote inclusive learning.
