Shape future scientists by teaching at the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry, California State University, Chico. This full-time lecturer role involves teaching general and advanced chemistry courses based on departmental needs.
The Department is building a pool of lecturers for the 2026-27 academic year. Applicants may teach various chemistry or biochemistry disciplines, depending on their qualifications. Each appointment is temporary, catering to the department's needs just prior to the academic term. A Bachelor of Science in Chemistry or Biochemistry is mandatory, while advanced degrees and teaching experience are preferred.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct chemistry lectures and laboratory sessions
• Deliver advanced course content as assigned
• Adapt teaching methods for diverse student groups
• Participate in departmental meetings as needed
• Provide student support and guidance
Requirements:
• Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry or Biochemistry
• Teaching experience in related chemistry fields preferred
• MS, EdD, or PhD in relevant areas preferred
