Position Summary The Communication Sciences and Disorders (CMSD) Program of the Department of Communication Arts and Sciences at California State University, Chico seeks a pool of Academic Year Lecturers. Positions are temporary and created as needs arise during the 2026-27 academic year.
Minimum Qualifications Master’s degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders or an equivalent field.
CMSD 156 – Bachelor’s degree and teaching, cultural, and sign language experience (ASHA certification and California licensure not required for the CMSD 156 course).
Preferred Qualifications Teaching or clinical experience in the subject area of interest.
Currency in the field with an active California state license and ASHA certification of clinical competence in Speech‑Language Pathology.
Experience working with diverse populations.
Responsibilities Conduct instruction and assessment for CMSD courses as assigned, based on qualifications and departmental needs.
Develop and deliver course materials, assignments, and assessments.
Engage in program evaluation and continuous improvement of course content.
