Purpose of the job:
In the context of Product Engineering development, a Vibroacoustic engineer will participate in project/offer development through the application of internal procedures including Vibroacoustic management of projects, standard Vibroacoustic simulation and measurements of Rolling Stock and ComponentsIn case of assignment to R&D tasks, he will be in charge of the development of methodologies and technologies related to Vibroacoustics of Rolling Stock and ComponentsIn case of assignment to Numerical simulations, he/she will participate in:
Application of numerical simulation methodologies needed for the development of rolling stock and componentsIn case of assignment to Experimental Modal Analysis and Transfer Path Analysis, he/she will participate in:
Definition/organization/application/analysis of testing campaigns related to the development and R&D of rolling stock and components. Testing campaigns will include multichannel setups that will require a high level of organization skills and reactivity to issues related to tests.àResponsibilities
Projects main missions
To apply the Vibroacoustic Engineering Instructions and guidelines to perform the project/offers tasksTo perform the Vibroacoustic analysis of tenders by comparison with referent solutions and previous projectsTo Prepare the Vibroacoustic specifications and Vibroacoustic Management Plan (VAMP) to be applied in projectsTo choose the most efficient way to perform the allocation (experimental/numerical), verification and validation during tender and project phaseTo allocate the different noise sources and train assemblies through the use of AT standard methodologies for Rolling stock and for ComponenrtsTo perform standard Vibroacoustics tests, to postprocess the data and report to validate prediction models and type testsTo perform standard Vibroacoustic simulations for exterior noise/interior noise and componentsTo liaise with the Discipline Leader to validate Management Plan, allocations and risks.To liaise with experts in key domains to obtain the necessary data to perform the allocationsTo liaise with acoustic engineers in other sites and to use AT Vibroacoustic databases to obtain the necessary REX to perform the allocationsTo capture the Vibroacoustic REX of projects through the use of AT Vibroacoustic databasesIn case of a Numerical simulation assignment:
To perform/analyze/validate advanced Vibroacoustic simulations using FE,BE, SEA and raytracing techniques in the context of product development and R&D.In case of a Transfer Path analysis or Experimental Modal analysis assignment:
To perform advanced Vibroacoustic testsCompetencies & Skills
Engineering degree (BSc/MSc) with specialization in Vibroacoustic or acousticsOIQ MemberMore than 5 years of related experience in an automotive/aeronautics/railway/building sectorVibroacoustic testing and postprocessing with multichannel systems (B&K Pulse/Siemens Test lab or similar) including noise & vibration measurements in operating conditions and Vibroacoustic transfer functions (mobility, pressure/force and Intensimetry measurements to characterize noise sources.Matlab standard level, if working in R&D Matlab advanced level is requiredFor R&D missions, management skills to lead R&D actions with a transversal approach will be neededGood communication skillsFrench conversational/reading advanced levelEnglish conversational/writing/reading advanced level commendatory.For numerical simulation assignment:
Finite Element theory and application for dynamic analysis purposesSoftware package experience preferred with Altair Hyperworks (Optistruct) and VA ONE for acoustic simulationExperience in using software packages for Experimental Modal analysis and Transfer Path AnalysisHigh capacity of reactivity in complex testing environmentsYou don’t need to be a train enthusiast to thrive with us.
