Position: Cost Optimization Engineer Role

In this role, you will leverage your engineering knowledge to analyze costs and facilitate effective costing strategies throughout project phases. You’ll work closely with designers and procurement to propose cost-effective design methodologies. Your contributions will enhance a cost-focused culture within the team, ensuring that Alstom continues to lead in smart and sustainable mobility solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Analyze costs during tender and project phases

• Gather insights from supplier offers and highlight improvement areas

• Propose cost optimization during design reviews

• Conduct costing simulations and breakdown for components

• Aid in negotiating supplier proposals with procurement

Requirements:

• Degree in engineering with 2-5 years relevant experience

• Proficient with CATIA V5 and manufacturing processes

• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills

• Knowledgeable in cost breakdown and financial analysis

• Fluent in English;
French proficiency preferred
