Overview

- College/CEGEP
- Or equivalent experience
- Heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration engineering technology/technician
- Heating, air conditioning, ventilation and refrigeration maintenance technology/technician
2 years to less than 3 years.
On site. Work must be completed at the physical location. No option to work remotely.
Responsibilities- Complete and maintain station records, logs and reports
- Instruct apprentices
- Assist in the development of operation, maintenance and safety procedures
- Investigate problems to fix or make minor repair
- Monitor and inspect plant equipment and systems to detect equipment malfunctioning and to ensure plant systems are operating normally
- Operate automated or computerized control systems
- Operate equipment in hydro, thermal and nuclear power plants
- Perform routine equipment maintenance
- Regulate and co‑ordinate transmission loads, frequency and line voltage
- Regulate water levels
- Write plant or building operation reports
- Stationary Engineer 'B' - Refrigeration Plant Operator
- Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate
- Forklift Operator Certification
- Ammonia refrigeration
- Compressors
- Condensers
- Cooling tower
- High pressure boilers
- Low pressure boilers
- Water and waste treatment utilities
