Your Future RoleTake on a new challenge and leverage your expertise in project engineering within a cutting‑edge rail environment. In this key role, you will be responsible for post‑sales/post‑warranty engineering and technical support for customers, across a portfolio of modernization, overhaul, and repair projects. You will work within collaborative and innovative teams, directly contributing to the delivery of safe, reliable, and high‑performance transportation solutions throughout the entire asset lifecycle.
You will be specifically responsible for overseeing engineering deliverables in a customer support context, ensuring compliance with post‑warranty contractual requirements, and contributing to cross‑functional projects requiring tailored technical solutions. As needed, you will also support tendering activities by defining technical solutions and committing engineering effort estimates for the various project phases.
On a day‑to‑day basis, you will act as the engineering focal point for customer projects after entry into service, working closely with internal teams (sourcing, supply chain, engineering, industrial operations), as well as with Alstom Services NAM teams and other global units. You will ensure coordination of engineering activities, manage customer interfaces, and monitor technical commitments while effectively controlling risks and opportunities associated with the post‑sales scope.
YourKey Responsibilities
- Coordinate all engineering activities related to post‑sales/post‑warranty customer support across multiple, multi‑site projects
- Act as the primary technical interface with customers on engineering matters
- Ensure engineering deliverables meet contractual, regulatory, and internal requirements
- Manage engineering budgets and ensure cost efficiency
- Deliver projects on time and in line with quality commitments
- Identify, assess, and manage risks and opportunities related to the engineering scope
- Support tendering activities as Technical Bid Leader, when required
- Engineering degree or related field (equivalent experience may substitute for formal education)
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in engineering project management, ideally in a customer‑facing environment
- Experience in the railway sector, particularly in rolling stock design, modernization, or in‑service support, strongly preferred
- Proven experience managing complex projects with direct customer interaction
- Strong management, coordination, and cross‑functional leadership skills
- Fluency in English required
- Willingness to travel up to 20% within the NAM region, with occasional travel to Europe
