Mechanical Integration Mechanical Design Engineer (MIT MDE)

Located in Saint-Bruno de Montarville QC, this full‑time role requires applying comprehensive mechanical engineering expertise to cutting‑edge rail solutions. The engineer will manage CAD activities, perform detailed 3D/2D designs, create assembly drawings and BOMs, and ensure the seamless integration of mechanical subsystems.

Responsibilities
  • Manage CAD activities and maintain the Space Allocation Mock‑up (SAM) according to maturity rules.
  • Create annotated SAMs for supplier exchanges and verify supplier feedback compliance.
  • Perform detailed 3D and 2D design of in‑house parts while considering manufacturability and maintainability.
  • Generate assembly drawings and Bill of Materials (BOM) for industrialisation.
  • Contribute to weight data provision and stack‑up calculations.
  • Collaborate with domain peers and cross‑functional teams to ensure seamless integration.
Qualifications
  • Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • 1–2 years of experience in Mechanical Engineering, preferably applied to railway products.
  • Basic English skills (reading/writing and technical meetings).
  • Rigorous and detail‑oriented mindset.
  • Experience in 3D modelling, drawing creation, or design in heavy industry (desirable).
  • Strong understanding of manufacturability and maintainability principles.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively across multidisciplinary teams.
