An Overview Of Your Future Role At BBA Our new office in Jonquière is expanding, and we’re looking for a talented engineer to join our dynamic team. You’ll be involved in engineering and programming mandates in automation, instrumentation and control.
Your role will be to contribute to various phases of engineering and site work. You may also be called upon to help produce deliverables for digital solution mandates.
Type of position: Regular
An Overview Of Your Mandates And Responsibilities Help produce various deliverables for an automation engineering project cycle
Prepare plans and specifications as well as detailed engineering deliverables (piping and instrumentation diagrams, layout drawings, I/O loop and motor control diagrams, lists of cables and instruments, installation details)
Draft reports, plans and specifications, construction and purchasing estimates and calls for tenders, where required
Prepare technical data sheets and select instruments (flow, pressure, levels) and control valves
Provide technical assistance during construction work (electrical and instrumentation)
Program programmable logic controllers (PLCs) for distributed control systems (DCSs) and human-machine interfaces (HMIs)
Participate in equipment commissioning and performance testing at client sites

Overview Of
Job Requirements Bachelor’s degree in automated production engineering or electrical engineering
Interest or relevant experience (five years or less) in automation or instrumentation, including participation in the detailed engineering of a project in the mining or energy sectors
Available for short-term assignments at c lient offices or sites
Advanced level of English to collaborate effectively with BBA offices and/or clients in English-speaking Canadian provinces and internationally. The frequency of English use may range from occasional to daily, depending on ongoing projects
Advanced level of French to collaborate effectively with BBA offices and/or clients in Québec
