Registered Nurse – Inpatient Cardiology

Become a vital member of Humber River Health as a Registered Nurse on the Inpatient Cardiology Unit. This part-time role emphasizes quality care and support for patients with cardiovascular challenges.

In this position, you will care for patients with varied heart conditions, focusing on acute coronary syndrome and telemetry monitoring. This role requires coordinating care with a multidisciplinary team and effective use of technology for patient documentation. You must be prepared to work rotating shifts to provide consistent patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

• Attend to acutely ill patients with heart conditions

• Conduct telemetry monitoring to track patient vitals

• Neighbor with healthcare teams for coordinated care plans

• Use computerized documentation systems effectively

• Guide nursing students and new staff through best practices

Requirements:

• Active RN registration with Ontario’s nursing board

• Coronary Care Level 1 required;
Level 2 commitment necessary

• Preferred experience in coronary care and telemetry

• 2 years of acute medical/surgical nursing experience preferred

• Strong communication and patient teaching skills
