Salary: $16.14 per hour
General Statement of ResponsibilitiesTo assure the smooth and efficient operation of the district level Student Services office; to maintain a high level of confidentiality regarding student information; and to demonstrate a positive relationship with parents and staff members.
Essential Functions- Answers telephone and routes calls to appropriate department or staff members;
- Types general correspondence and performs general office functions;
- Assists with the maintenance of general and confidential files for special education and English Language Learner (ELL) programs, including active and inactive files;
- Files specialized student records;
- Records transmittals of specialized student records;
- Assists in research and acquisition and distribution of new student records and data related to special education and/or ELL programs;
- Retrieves/updates required annual student data and performs data entry of specialized student records;
- Prepares and distributes required New Student Screening forms district‑wide;
- Copies and distributes special education referrals to appropriate specialized staff;
- Manages the district‑wide equipment, produces student & volunteer badges;
- May produce and distribute district‑wide student ;
- Performs functions utilizing Power School;
- Assists with the annual organization of the student files to be identified for destruction;
- Assists in the maintenance of office supplies and equipment;
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or equivalent;
- One year of experience or training in tasks related to data organization and data input;
- Ability to use a PC computer;
- Ability to communicate clearly with staff members, students and the public;
- Ability to periodically handle boxed records;
- Willingness to perform as an integral member of a successful team;
- Dedication to providing the highest level of service;
- Willingness to adhere to district policies and procedures;
- Time Management:
Must plan 2–12 weeks in advance; - Stress Management:
Periodic stress due to intermittent deadlines; - Public Contact:
