Purpose Of RoleReporting to the Mine Manager, the Utility Crew / Project Supervisor will oversee the Utility Crew department.
Role Accountabilities- Oversee all Earthwork Operations / Projects on the Copper World Site
- Manage Contractors on site and be the primary contact / support
- Manage the utility crews and ensure they are prepared and successful
- Develop new opportunities and a development path for the Utility Crew
- Communicate work plans to crew leaders, ensuring that they are prepared and knowledgeable of projects prior to implementation.
- Identify project needs and coordinate ordering of required supplies, equipment maintenance, and task completions independently.
- Track earthwork KPIs and present results weekly
- Provide verbal and written reports to Mine Manager on progress (examples: daily shift reports)
- Understand project practices, policies, and systems.
- Ensure all company procedures and safety policies are followed; lead by example.
- High School diploma / GED / associate’s degree
- 6+ years of related operational experience, including supervisory or lead experience
- Contractor Management experience
- Policy Development experience
- Exposure to Mine Planning
- Ability to work & multitask in a fast‑paced environment
- Experience supervising, managing, and optimizing the use of heavy equipment (Dozers, Excavators)
- Ability to lift 50 lbs. and meet all other physical requirements of the job
- Can move over uneven terrain
- Ability to work in different environmental conditions
- Positive work ethic
- Maintain a drug and alcohol‑free workplace
- Possess a valid Driver’s License
- Ability to lead, motivate, manage, and grow the team
- Current MSHA certification
