Medical Technologist ~ Nights ~
Up to $5,000 Sign-On Bonus

Northwestern Medical Center is seeking a Medical Technologist to work night shifts (9 p.m.–7 a.m., Monday–Thursday, with occasional weekends). Full‑time, 80 hours bi‑weekly.

Generalist Medical Technologist performs clinical testing and associated duties across all Laboratory sections, including specimen processing, quality control, instrument maintenance, and documentation via the Laboratory Information System.

• Perform phlebotomy and collect venous or capillary specimens.
• Process all laboratory specimens following written procedures.
• Execute laboratory information system (LIS) entry and reporting.
• Conduct quality control, quality assurance, and preventative maintenance.
• Troubleshoot instrument and assay issues and coordinate with technical help.
• Maintain inventory of supplies and participate in method validations and training.
• Communicate test results and abnormal findings to the Pathologist.

• American Society of Clinical Pathology (ASCP) Board Certification (COP) as a Medical Laboratory Scientist within 6 months of hire; or equivalent credentials.
• Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology or related science with clinical laboratory training preferred.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently on varied shifts, nights, and weekends (at least two months per year).
• ICHP Visa Screen Certificate, if applicable.

Includes use of laboratory analyzers, microscopes, centrifuges, and other equipment. Physical demands: overhead reaching, lifting up to 45 lbs, standing, walking, and exposure to wet surfaces and low temperatures. Protective equipment: lab coat, gloves, and standard precautions PPE.

Competitive salary ($28.50–$39.52 USD), up to $5,000 sign‑on bonus, and a generous benefits package through national carriers.
