What You’ll Be DoingBTs work one-on-one with children at our center, implementing BCBA-designed clinical plans that help clients build critical communication, social, and other adaptive skills.
- Regular and reliable attendance is an essential function of this position.
- Utilize the principles of applied behavior analysis (ABA), such as reinforcement and prompting, to teach adaptive behaviors in developmental areas, such as language, socialization, play, self-help, and motor skills.
- Utilize the principles of ABA to address behavior reduction goals.
- With training, implement skill development programs and perform appropriate physical guidance as needed to ensure client safety.
- Collect, record, and summarize data on observable client behavior.
- Document sessions in a timely manner.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work and therapy environment.
- Track and record RBT hours each month and submit within timeframe.
- Maintain and acquire technical knowledge by attending required trainings; attend trainings as required.
- Maintain a high degree of confidentiality.
- Perform other related duties as needed.
- Minimum High School Diploma or GED required
- No experience required—we will train!
- Must be able to lift up to 30 lbs.
- Must be able to frequently assume and maintain a variety of postures (kneeling, squatting, crawling, sitting, standing) while attending to the needs of active children.
- Must be willing and able to utilize quick body movements as indicated in the Behavior Intervention Plan while working with challenging behavior.
- No prior criminal history
- Ability to utilize technology
- Basic computer skills - Microsoft Office, Microsoft Outlook, Windows
- Ability to operate basic office equipment
- Must be at least 18 years of age
