Behavior Technician

BTs work one-on-one with children at our center, implementing BCBA-designed clinical plans that help clients build critical communication, social, and other adaptive skills.

• Regular and reliable attendance is an essential function of this position.
• Utilize the principles of applied behavior analysis (ABA), such as reinforcement and prompting, to teach adaptive behaviors in developmental areas, such as language, socialization, play, self-help, and motor skills.
• Utilize the principles of ABA to address behavior reduction goals.
• With training, implement skill development programs and perform appropriate physical guidance as needed to ensure client safety.
• Collect, record, and summarize data on observable client behavior.
• Document sessions in a timely manner.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work and therapy environment.
• Track and record RBT hours each month and submit within timeframe.
• Maintain and acquire technical knowledge by attending required trainings; attend trainings as required.
• Maintain a high degree of confidentiality.
• Perform other related duties as needed.

• Minimum High School Diploma or GED required
• No experience required—we will train!

• Must be able to lift up to 30 lbs.
• Must be able to frequently assume and maintain a variety of postures (kneeling, squatting, crawling, sitting, standing) while attending to the needs of active children.
• Must be willing and able to utilize quick body movements as indicated in the Behavior Intervention Plan while working with challenging behavior.

• No prior criminal history
• Ability to utilize technology
• Basic computer skills - Microsoft Office, Microsoft Outlook, Windows
• Ability to operate basic office equipment
• Must be at least 18 years of age
