Full‑time (80 hours bi‑weekly), primarily evenings 3:00 pm – 11:30 pm, including every other weekend.
Hiring range: $17.00 to $24.17 USD.

Job SummaryResponsible for cleaning patient rooms, clinical and public areas, disinfecting surfaces, supporting linen service, and collecting and transporting waste using proper handling and disposal techniques.
Pre‑requisites- Education:
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Prior
Experience:
Institutional cleaning experience preferred.
Skills:
Ability to read, write, and understand English required.
- Reports To:
Director Hospitality Services - Other Contacts:
All hospital employees, patients and their families, and the general public.
- Machinery or Equipment Used:
Industrial cleaning equipment (vacuum cleaner, mop, broom/dustpan, linen cart, trash barrel on barrel roller, trash compactor, washing machine). - Physical Demands:
Frequent mopping, pushing/pulling, lifting; occasional kneeling, squatting, overhead reaching and lifting up to 35 lbs; frequent reaching, bending, pushing/pulling, lifting, carrying up to 14 lbs. - Working Conditions:
Potential for spills of cleaning agents, mop buckets, etc.; potential exposure to blood‑borne pathogens. - Required Protective Equipment:
Mask, booties, gloves, hairnet, gown and goggles.
- Performs cleaning, waste handling, disposal, and material handling using safe work practices and following policies and procedures.
- Reviews work completed to verify that steps have been correctly performed.
- Performs all tasks in a safe manner using safe work practices, wears appropriate PPE, follows directions when mixing chemicals, uses appropriate equipment, and employs proper body mechanics.
- Communicates with patients, team members, and management accurately and timely; listens and reports pertinent information; protects confidentiality.
- Performs tasks in the correct order to maintain environmental integrity; reviews work to verify steps.
- Demonstrates unit‑specific skills; manages self and resources effectively; acknowledges limits of experience and capability; identifies learning needs; utilizes equipment and supplies appropriately; seeks feedback; requests assistance appropriately.
