Job Summary

The Material Handler is responsible for transacting and transporting materials, parts, and general production items throughout the campus as needed to facilitate the production process.

Essential Functions
  • Pull, issue, count, and transfer stock to required department and/or building.
  • Work with Scheduling to transact parts/materials in a timely fashion to facilitate production.
  • Prepare work order packets and job boxes for newly released work orders.
  • Communicate with appropriate personnel as needed upon task completion.
  • Assist with maintaining accuracy of inventory.
  • Operating box truck on a daily schedule to meet production needs.
  • Work on the production floor as necessary to support manufacturing.
Required Qualifications
  • Attention to detail, with the ability to follow precise instructions and procedures.
  • Ability to work independently, and under the pressure of deadlines.
  • Must be able to drive a Forklift (On site training available).
  • Must be able to drive a box truck (On site training available).
  • Must have a valid driver’s license.
  • CDL not required.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 2+ years of experience in warehouse, logistics, or manufacturing environments
  • Familiarity with inventory control processes (cycle counts, stock rotation, FIFO, etc.)
  • Basic computer skills (Excel, email, data entry)
Total Rewards

The compensation range for this position is $41,400 to $62,200 depending on experience. This position may be eligible for performance-based bonus plan.

Work Environment & Physical Demands
  • Work is generally performed on the shop floor, which can be noisy and dusty, as well as hot during the summer. Role includes brief periodic duties performed outdoors. Proper safety equipment is provided by STC where necessary.
  • Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) or safety gear, provided by STC.
  • Fine motor skills, hand–eye coordination, and visual focus for detailed tasks, including tool use, computer work, or microscope inspection.
  • Exposure to repetitive motions; adaptive devices or reasonable accommodation may be provided as needed.
  • Deadlines, shifting priorities, and peak workloads that may create a fast-paced environment.
  • Occasional bending, squatting, reaching, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
