LIFEGUARD

Midwest Pool Management is hiring lifeguards and head guards for the summer season. We manage swimming pools all over St. Louis and the surrounding areas and will place you at a facility convenient for you. Some facilities are indoor and run year‑round. The Lifeguard starting payrate is $15.50.

• Recognize and respond effectively in emergency situations.
• Participate in regular in‑service training.
• Keep pool facilities clean and appealing.
• Proactively address guest needs by answering questions, giving directions, and providing other information.
• Ensure the safety of guests.
• Understand and support programming offered by the facility (swim lessons, family fun days, water aerobics, swim team, tot time, river walking, etc.).
• Represent Midwest Pool Management professionally at all times, through appearance and attitude. A strong work ethic is expected.
• Know the schedule and arrive to work on time.
• Wear the required company uniform while on duty.

• Lifeguards work part‑time, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Strong observational skills to proactively identify guest needs and ensure safety guidelines are followed.
• Strong verbal communication skills (able to positively engage with guests, team members, and management).

• Ability to swim.
• Lifeguard certification (Star Guard Elite or equivalent).
• Lifeguard training is available and must be successfully completed.
