assists in day to day accounting within the organization including preparation of journal entries, account reconciliations and monthly financial close. This position is an integral part in maintaining and assuring the integrity of the general ledger. Operates with a continuous improvement mindset.

• general accounting and financial reporting
• assist in the monthly close by accurately entering journal entries, summarizing results, and completing balance sheet reconciliations
• assist with reconciliation of intercompany accounts.
• maintain g/l accounts by working with cross functional departments (i.e. Grir, ic ar/ap)
• provide corporate finance the required monthly and quarterly reports
• ownership and accountability ensuring appropriate financial controls are maintained and results are achieved, supporting internal and external audit requests
• validation of efficiency, overtime, and labor hour reporting
• ad hoc reporting in support of plant objectives to improve profitability
• assist with capital request submissions / monitoring expenditures
• cost accounting
• inventory and asset monitoring - cycle count accuracy and fixed asset inventories
• production order variance review
• ppv review
• support of annual cost roll, calculating labor/ohd rates
• partner with purchasing organization to help drive inventory reductions through recurring inventory reporting and excessive and obsolete material analysis.

• compile cost information to be used in operating budget preparation.
• perform other related duties as required to meet the goals and objectives of the company and finance department

• bachelor’s degree, preferred degree in accounting
• 3-5 years accounting/finance experience
