The Department of Surgery at the University of Florida College of Medicine – Jacksonville, is seeking an up to full-time Otorhinolaryngologist at the non-tenure accruing level of Clinical Assistant/Associate/Professor in the Division of Otorhinolaryngology and Head and Neck Surgery. The Department is a tertiary referral center serving Northeast Florida and Southeast Georgia. It houses divisions of General Surgery/Surgical Oncology, Otorhinolaryngology, Plastic Surgery, Trauma/Acute Care/Critical Care, and Vascular Surgery.

The Division is transforming to serve our growing community through multidisciplinary care and collaboration, focusing on subspecialty centers in hearing, voice, olfaction, head and neck surgery, and facial plastic/reconstruction. It aims to develop pediatric and allergy care, with a new hospital and outpatient facility in Durbin Park and ENT services planned for UF Health St. Johns – Flagler Hospital.

We seek a candidate with training and clinical experience in otorhinolaryngology, with open interest in pediatric Otorhinolaryngology, rhinology/skull base surgery, laryngology, or general otorhinolaryngology. Post graduate education or interest in ENT allergy or sleep apnea surgery/sleep medicine is a plus.

The duties and responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to:

• Provide and maintain a high level of quality in-patient specialty and/or sub-specialty care services in Otorhinolaryngology.
• Provide clinical teaching of trainees if applicable and participate in the educational program.
• Be responsible for excellent communication with primary care physicians.
• Assist in marketing the Otorhinolaryngology programs to community physicians and managed care organizations.
• Participate in division and department meetings, administrative functions, and institutional committees as requested.

Required Qualifications: Candidates should have a MD/DO in Otorhinolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery.

Preferred: BE/BC is preferred. Subspecialty training in Pediatric Otorhinolaryngology, Rhinology/Skull Base Surgery, Laryngology or General Otorhinolaryngology is preferred.
