The Ultrasound Technologist II provides direct patient care and manages equipment and scheduling for efficient workflow. The role prepares patients for diagnostic procedures and conducts ultrasound with proficiency, ensuring high‑quality images across multiple proficiencies: abdomen, breast, OB/GYN, and vascular.

• Accurately perform ultrasound exams to department standards.
• Assure quality of images presented to radiologist; consult with physicians to obtain optimum exam.
• Ensure patient safety, including pregnancy identification, shielding documentation, and safety questionnaire review.
• Prepare consent forms and other demographic data for patients.
• Explain procedures to patients and provide post‑procedure instructions.
• Provide transportation for patients using proper equipment and lifting techniques; report needed repairs.
• Coordinate supplies, equipment, and reporting to maintain efficient workflow.
• Collaborate in departmental and hospital‑wide QA/QI programs as requested.
• Train new hires or existing staff as assigned.
• Perform any other duties within job scope.

• Graduate Ultrasonography Program.

• 2 years general/vascular ultrasonography experience.

3 years ultrasound tech experience and 1 year in vascular, abdomen, OB/GYN, and breast.

• Registered Ultrasound Tech through ARDMS RDMS (abdomen or OB/GYN) or ARRT (sonography).
• Registered Vascular through ARDMS RVT, CCI RVS, or ARRT RVS.
