JOB DESCRIPTION:We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Medical Assistant to join our team and provide invaluable support to our aesthetic injectors. In this role, you will be responsible for assisting injectors with patient care, clinical procedures, system management, and membership sales. The ideal candidate has clinical experience, is eager to learn, adaptable, and highly adept at multitasking in a fast-paced environment.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:- High school diploma or equivalent required; completion of a medical assistant program preferred.
- 1+ years of medical / healthcare assistance experience required.
- Previous experience in a medical aesthetic setting is desirable but not required.
- Proficiency in Point of Sale (POS) and medical record systems preferred.
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) certification preferred.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with patients and colleagues.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and responsibilities.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Professionalism and a commitment to upholding ethical standards and patient confidentiality.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed to accommodate client appointments a minimum of 30 hour per week.
- Passion for empowering clients and colleagues, with a genuine interest in the field of medical aesthetics.
- Provide assistance to aesthetic injectors during patient consultations, treatments, and procedures. This may include preparing treatment rooms, sterilizing equipment, and ensuring patient comfort and safety.
- Interact with patients in a professional and compassionate manner, addressing their concerns and providing support throughout their treatment journey. Educate patients on pre- and post-treatment care instructions as directed by the injector.
- Perform basic clinical tasks such as administering numbing cream, documenting patient medical histories, and assisting with minor procedures under the supervision of licensed healthcare providers.
- Maintain accurate and organized electronic medical records (EMR), including patient demographics, treatment plans, and progress notes. Ensure compliance with all HIPAA regulations regarding patient confidentiality.
- Promote and sell membership programs and packages to eligible patients, explaining the benefits and terms of membership and assisting with enrollment processes.
- Collaborate closely with other members of the healthcare and operations teams to ensure seamless coordination of patient care and clinic operations.
- Position is on location at our St. Augustine location, 30-40 hours per week, no remote duties typically required.
- Must be available to work when our locations are open (including some nights, weekends and Federal holidays).
- Must be able to constantly move around the spa and occasionally lift and move objects.
