SLP Speech-Language Pathologist – School Based

Responsibilities

• Conduct assessments and evaluations to identify speech and language disorders in students.
• Develop individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to meet the unique needs of each student.
• Provide direct therapy services to students with speech, language, and communication disorders.
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other educational professionals to support student progress.
• Maintain accurate records of students’ progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
• Participate in IEP meetings and provide expertise on speech and language development.
• Offer support and training for teachers and staff to enhance communication strategies in the classroom.

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
• Current state licensure or eligibility for licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist in Florida.
• Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) is preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Experience working in a school setting is an advantage, but not required.
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
