The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for managing individualized patient care by promoting and restoring patients' health through the nursing process. The RN provides direct patient care, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, evaluation, and patient health education within the standards of nursing care.

• Coordinates care in collaboration with the patients treatment team to provide assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation services.
• Performs physical exams, health histories, nursing assessments, and routine observations within established time frames.
• Provides direct patient care including administering medications, wound care, injections, intravenous infusions, and other treatment interventions while operating standard critical care equipment safely and correctly.
• Recognizes and intervenes in life-threatening emergencies, including administering emergency drugs and using defibrillators or other emergency treatments.
• Documents patient assessment findings, care provided, procedures performed, and updates related to the patient's condition and response to treatment.
• Provides patient and family health education based on assessed needs regarding health conditions, medications, wellness, and follow-up care.
• Adheres to OSHA guidelines and quality control methods.
• Performs all other duties assigned by the department.
