Patient Registration – Customer Service Representative
Location: Ascension St. Vincent's Health Center – St. Johns
Shift
Hours:
PRN – Part time, work as needed. Shifts range between 8–12 hours.
- Work on computers and answer phones to intake patient information in a busy environment.
- Collect, input, and verify patient and insurance details accurately and quickly across multiple programs.
- Provide compassionate customer service by listening, addressing concerns, and easing patient anxiety.
- Adapt to unexpected changes and fast‑paced clinical workflows, including interruptions for emergent care.
- Assist patients in completing registration while ensuring data accuracy and confidentiality.
- Contribute to team goals and support career development opportunities within R1 RCM.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Excellent customer service experience.
- Comfortable with technology, fast typing speed, and phone communication.
- Ability to work independently and in a team; quick learner with no prior healthcare experience required.
- Current vaccination status, successful drug test, and background check clearance before hire.
Base pay range: $15.00 – $20.28 per hour, based on role, level, location, skills, and experience.
