Medical Laboratory Scientist II, Part Time, Baptist Emergency Department

Baptist Health is seeking a Medical Lab Scientist II for our freestanding Emergency Department in St. Augustine. This part‑time day shift role requires Monday‑Thursday, 7:00 AM‑1:30 PM hours. The position is supervised by the Director and Section Supervisors but can be performed independently without on‑site supervision.

• Maintain expertise and perform technical duties, specimen collection and processing, LIS, departmental, and clerical functions in one or more laboratory sections.
• Maintain records of performance as defined in the laboratory’s general and sectional policy and procedure manuals and SOPs.
• Instruct new employees, MTs, and MLT students.

• Associate’s Degree (Required)
• Bachelor’s Degree (Preferred)
• Minimum two years of experience as a Medical Lab Scientist (Required)

• Certified Medical Technologist (MT) - Preferred
• Certified Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) - Preferred
• Licensed Medical Technologist (Florida) - Required
• Licensed Clinical Laboratory Technician (Florida) - Required
