Salary Range:
Starting at $21 per hour plus benefits for full time employees.
Shift: Daytime, 9am-5pm, Monday through Friday.
Location:
St. Augustine, FL (St. Johns County).
- Keeps state certification current—Registered Behavior Technician (with the State of Florida)
- Provides direct care/ personal care and duties to individuals
- Verbal and non-verbal interactions with individuals reflect caring and respect
- Promotes and insures individual rights upheld
- Completes or coordinates recreation activities per IPP goals with a focus on skill acquisition and behavioral interactions.
- Implements program modifications as designated by the behavior and habilitation plans
- Directly coordinates team during skill acquisition and behavioral interventions RBT
- Coordinates staff to engage in specific duties as designated on implementation plan
- Maintains and enhances understanding of positive behavior strategies and antecedent interventions
- Attends required monthly meetings and trainings to maintain programmatic and behavioral integrity
- Maintains a person centered and least restrictive approach in resident care according to BIP and IPP
- Reports to immediate supervisor as needed

Functions:
Facilitates a positive teaching and training atmosphere conducive to individual growth and development by providing direct behavioral support and skill acquisition. This position requires understanding of positive behavioral approaches to implement programming as directed by behavioral and habilitation implementation plans. This position is responsible for immediate and accurate documentation of programming and interventions services. Effective coordination with the behaviorist, supervisors, and co-workers are required to maintain a high quality of life for the individual.
- Implement Behavior Plans
- Follow the behavior intervention plans (BIPs) and skill acquisition programs designed by the BCBA.
- Use evidence-based strategies rooted in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA).
- Accurately record data on client behavior, such as frequency, duration, or intensity in the company's note system.
- Maintain clear documentation in a timely manner to track progress and guide treatment decisions.
- Teach clients new skills, such as communication, social, daily living, and academic skills.
- Use ABA methods like prompting, reinforcement, and shaping.
- Implement strategies to decrease challenging or maladaptive behaviorsli>
- Ensure these strategies are consistently applied as outlined in the treatment plan.
- Adhere to the BACB® RBT Ethics Code, including confidentiality, professionalism, and client dignity.
- Work only within their scope of competence and under supervision.
- Regularly meet with the supervising BCBA/BCaBA for guidance, feedback, and performance review.
- Communicate observations or concerns to the supervising behavior analyst.
- Work with clients in homes, schools, clinics, or community settings.
- Collaborate with parents, teachers, and other professionals to ensure consistent implementation.
- Have and keep RBT certification current
- Pass a Level 2 (state and national) background screening, local law check
- Certification in CPR and First Aid, Bloodborne Pathogens and HIPAA, kept current
- Certification in Safety Care training
- Be free from illegal drugs
- A valid Florida Driver's license and proof of insurance (if you drive for the center)
- Three references of recommendation for the position
- Education and/or
Experience:
Current RBT certification, High school diploma or equivalent and 4 years of experience working with a dependent population or an associate’s degree and 2 years of experience or a bachelor’s degree
