Baptist Health is hiring a Registered Respiratory Therapist for our free-standing Emergency Department located in St. Augustine, FL. This is a full-time, night shift opportunity. We are looking to hire an experienced Registered Respiratory Therapist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working in high-stress, fast-paced environment.
Registered Respiratory TherapistJob Responsibilities
- Assessing, diagnosing, and treating patients with breathing disorders
- Administering respiratory therapies
- Performing and interpreting diagnostic tests
- Monitoring and managing mechanical ventilators for patients who require respiratory support
- Collaborating with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized treatment plans
- Providing patient education and support on proper breathing techniques, medication usage, and lifestyle changes
- Maintaining accurate and complete patient assessments, treatments, and progress documentation
- Certificate Required
- Associate of Science Preferred
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Preferred
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) Preferred
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) Certification Preferred
- Florida Licensed Respiratory Therapist Required-DOH
