AREA DIRECTOR – K12 FOOD SERVICE – ST AUGUSTINE, FL
Salary: $115,000 – $125,000 per year
Other Compensation: Annual bonus incentive up to 30% + fleet car
Chartwells K12 is a leading provider of student dining services, proudly serving over 16,000 associates across 4,500 schools worldwide. We are seeking an experienced Area Director to partner with K‑12 districts in St. Augustine, Florida, to deliver high‑quality, nutritious, and budget‑efficient food service programs.
Key Responsibilities- Monitor overall financial performance of assigned accounts, ensuring profitability and budget compliance.
- Lead, coach, and develop a team of Regional District Managers and Directors across multiple districts.
- Provide hands‑on support and program alignment during regular client site visits.
- Drive revenue growth while maintaining strong client relationships through board meetings and district‑level discussions.
- Oversee planning, budgeting, analysis, and reporting for the region.
- Participate in the sales process to expand the service footprint.
- BS degree preferred.
- 5–7 years of contract food‑service management experience.
- Strong leadership, communication, and financial acumen.
- Experience managing $10M+ in volume with multi‑unit operations.
- Proven ability to build relationships and influence across multiple stakeholders.
